The University of Zakho, represented by Assistant Professor Dr. Lazgin A. Jameel-President of the University of Zakho extends its warm congratulations to Mr. Nechirvan Barzani and Mr. Masror Barzani on the occasion of the election of the first President of the Kurdistan Region and the second Prime Minister, wishing them success.
Mr. Nechirvan was elected as the new President of the Kurdistan region by the parliament on 28/5/2019 after receiving 68 votes out of 81. He was sworn in by special ceremony amid wide attendance both at the regional and international level. Likewise, Mr. Masror was appointed Prime Minister by 87 Votes out of 97.
